The PreSeason news of Arsenal

Arsenal kicked of their 2012-13 campaign against not quite as successfully as much as they had hoped. They started with a match against Southampton the score in normal time was 1-1 so a close match but the silverware went arsenals way because there are 4 teams each team plays each other and so the match came down to penalties despite losing 5-4 on penalties they are still victorious they lifted the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup.

Arsenals News this week is focused on their match against Liverpool (Live on Sky Sports).Arsenal have two injury concerns main man Robin Van Persie went off in Hollands mid-week fixture against England. Also rock solid defender Thomas Vermaelen shall possibly miss the match, if Arsenal win against Liverpool they will have gone five games without a loss.Carling Cup champions Liverpool return from the Carling Cup but have captain Steven Gerrard possibly out also from that mid-week international match. All though Liverpool have won only one of their last six games they will feel confident over Arsenal!Team Line Ups Arsenal: 13 Szczesny, 03 Sagna, 05 Vermaelen, 06 Koscienly, 28 Gibbs, 07 Rosicky, 08 Arteta (off for Diaby), 14 Walcott, 17 Song, 30 Benayoun (off for Gervinho), 10 Van Persie, Substitutes: 21 Fabianski, 25 Jenkinson, 49 Miquel, 02 Diaby (Off for Oxlade Chamberlain), 27 Gervinho, 29 Chamakh.Liverpool: 25 Reina, 03 Jose Enrique, 23 Carragher, 34 Skirtel, 14 Henderson, 19 Downing (Off for Bellamy), 20 Spearing (Off for Carroll), 26 Adam, 07 Suarez, 18 Kuyt, Substitutes: 32 Doni, 16 Coates, 38 Flanagan, 11 Maxi, 33 Shelvey, 09 Carroll, 39 BellamyFinal Score 1-2 to Arsenal Koscielny 23(OG) Van Persie 31 90+1.Save of the match Szczesny PENALTY AND REBOUND SAVE!Arsenal suffered two big defeats recently, so when it was time for the North London derby between them and Tottenham we all thought the result would be different. The Gunners came back from 2-0 down at 34 minuets to a oustanding 2-2 at half time. Goals from Sagna (40) Van Persie (43) helped towards a excellent 5-2 win. Just after half time Rosicky put Arsenal ahead for the first time in that game. Then 14 minuets later Walcott scored two in quick succession just three minuets in between them each. Then to just to put Tottenham completely into their misery they saw the departure of Scott Parker. So an outstanding victory for Arsenal that in my opinion was just what they needed they came back fighting and won the derby. Tell me your thoughts on what you think the results should have been!
